Madison Middle School | Math
My name is Bobbi Dehr, originally Bobbi Collins. I was born and raised here in North Platte, Nebraska. I graduated from NPHS in 1993, graduating a year early. I received my Associate’s degree from Mid Plains and my Bachelor’s degree from Chadron State, both at a later age.
Prior to re-entering college at 27 years old, I lived in the Rocky Mountains, where I gave snowmobile tours of national forest land. I also managed a fine dining Cajun seafood restaurant in Chicago.
I have been divorced for almost 15 years. My marriage resulted in the most amazing experience of my life, my son!! My son’s name is Riley Dehr and he is an extraordinary human being! He is a senior in high school and plans to attend Berkeley, NYU, University of Michigan, or University of Washington at Seattle. He plans to be an environmentalist and politician and save the world!!
I have taught 2nd grade, 7th grade math, 6th grade math, and coached volleyball. I also helped to start our very 1st environmental club at North Platte High School, in cooperation with my amazing son. I intended to teach history, but after beginning to teach math, figured out that I was really good at explaining math so that the kids can understand it more easily.
