Lincoln Elementary | Fourth Grade
My name is Jeanene Lusk. I grew up on a farm near Lewellen, Nebraska, the fourth of five children. During my childhood, when I was asked that age old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” it was always only one answer, “I want to be a teacher!”
I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my B.S degree in 1988. My first teaching job was in a one-room schoolhouse north of Lewellen. I will never forget that wonderful experience! When the school closed the next year, I moved to North Platte, and began teaching Kindergarten at Hall School, where I taught for the next thirteen years.
By then I had married, moved to Brady, and started a family. Wanting to be closer to home and my children, I accepted a fourth grade teaching position, and taught at Brady Schools for the next 10 years. While teaching at Brady, I attained my Masters Degree in Reading Literacy with an endorsement as a Reading Specialist.
I began teaching fourth grade at Lincoln Elementary in 2013. I love fourth graders!
I am married to Quentin Lusk and together we have four children, Troy, Jenna, Megan, and Blake. I love to read, take walks, craft, and spend time with my family.
I feel blessed to be a teacher and have the opportunity to be a part of developing young minds! My students make me laugh, cry, wring my hands in frustration, and shout for joy! I am happily living my childhood dream!
