Lake Maloney Elementary | Fourth Grade
I am Tara Foster. I am originally from Tryon, Nebraska. I grew up in the Sandhills, and am very proud of it! I graduated from McPherson County High School in 1998. I then attended and graduated from Chadron State College in 2002. Right after college, I got a job teaching 3rd and 4th graders at Our Redeemer Lutheran School in North Platte. I taught there for 3 years, before taking a job at DIstrict #44 Lake Maloney School teaching 3rd and 4th grade. We were assimilated into North Platte Public Schools the following year, and I taught just 4th graders after that. I have been there ever since!
I am married to Ty. We have two children, Taylor and Tanner. You will probably find us outside enjoying our time together hunting and fishing. We love to read books about Western History, shoot our bows, and cheer on any Husker team!
I believe that all children deserve a quality education. I believe that all children are learners. Some learn traditionally, and some learn in other ways. All children can be successful if someone believes in them enough to help them believe in themselves. My goal every day when I walk into my classroom is to make my students feel safe, loved, and for growth to happen. I strive to make learning fun and engaging, and lessons applicable to life.
