Robin Vahle - Lake Maloney Principal
My name is Robin Vahle, and I feel fortunate to be the Principal of Lake Maloney Elementary and Osgood Elementary schools. These are amazing schools. In my time here, I have used my leadership to work collaboratively with our dedicated community of staff, students, and parents to deepen our focus to accomplish district goals, shaping a rigorous academic curriculum for all students, and instill a culture of kindness, school pride, good character and tremendous spirit.
My journey as an educator started at a very young age where I was fortunate enough to have great teachers that impacted and influenced me to touch students lives. After obtaining my B.A.Ed. Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Kearney, I began my teaching career serving both elementary and secondary students. I continued my education graduating with an M.A.Ed. Masters in Arts in Education and an M.A.Ed. Masters of Arts in Education Administration, Endorsed Principal (K-12) from the University of Kearney. As a teacher, I loved touching students lives and watching them grow and succeed. I enjoyed building a classroom community of learners who cared for each other, loved learning, and were prepared academically to build on their accomplishments for the next school year. I was humbled in 2005 to receive the Nebraska NETA Art Educator of The Year Award. In my fifteen years of teaching, I can proudly say that my greatest accomplishments are my students.
My leadership path began while I was teaching, as I enjoyed the opportunities to involve myself with the school district and community. I took on a number of leadership positions which included acting principal when assigned, president and treasurer of our union leadership, and a member of the NSEA Tri-Valley District Executive Committee. I participated in Ameri-Corp and was published in the books “From the Field” volume 1 and 2. I was also chosen to help write and edit the Nebraska Department of Ed. Visual Arts Standards in Lincoln.
After fifteen years of teaching, I left the classroom to serve North Platte Public schools as Lake Maloney/Osgood Elementary’s principal. I have continued my leadership and passion for student learning, community involvement, and educational teacher success. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on students’ academic achievements and attainment to a lifelong love of learning.
