Lyndsey Douglas, Principal
I am honored to have the opportunity to reach, teach, and inspire students at Eisenhower Elementary. My passion for education involves providing an exciting, rigorous, safe learning environment for all students. I am committed to building positive relationships and leading by example.
I was born and raised in North Platte, and am a proud NPHS graduate. I attended Chadron State College where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and minor in Mathematics. I began teaching 2nd grade at Jefferson Elementary and taught there for eight years. While teaching I continued my education at Doane College, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I taught 4th grade at McDonald Elementary for two years before becoming the principal of Eisenhower Elementary. I take pride in having served various roles within the North Platte Public School District as well as the Nebraska Association of the Gifted Board.
I love serving the community of North Platte and strive to make our community a great place to live and learn. I am continually reminded of how great North Platte is by watching how our businesses partner with our educational community to support our youth. The staff all across the NPPS district is committed to offering a high quality education, and Eisenhower is no exception. My husband, Troy and I have 3 daughters who attend North Platte Public Schools.
I take great pride in being an educator, and am thrilled to be the lead learner at Eisenhower Elementary. I truly believe that "Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world." ~Nelson Mandela
