My name is Jeff Nemecek. I graduated from Chadron High School. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chadron State College in Elementary Education, and Elementary Educational Administration.
I am married to Becca and we have 3 children.
I started my teaching career at a country school South of Chadron where I taught kindergarten, first, and second grades all at the same time. I taught there for 3 years before transferring to East Ward Elementary School in Chadron. I taught 3rd grade for 4 years and 2nd grade for 1 year at East Ward before accepting my first administrative position in Kadoka, SD.
In Kadoka, I was the Elementary Principal for 5 years. Something unique about that position is that I had four different elementary schools in four different communities. This gave me a great opportunity to learn and meet the needs of four different schools and communities.
I joined the team at Cody Elementary last year (2017-18 school year). What I appreciate most about Cody is that the staff is always looking for ways to improve and each and every staff member wants all students to succeed!
Our Purpose at Cody Elementary is to prepare students to be productive, responsible citizens in a safe, caring, supportive learning environment.
Cody Elementary PBIS expectations are:
- Be Safe
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
I’m looking forward to another great year here at Cody Elementary!
