Cody Elementary | 1st Grade
My name is Alisha Arnold. I am from North Platte. I graduated from the High School in 2010, then went to college at the University of Nebraska Kearney. I graduated from there with a major in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education in December 2014. After doing my student teaching and subbing for the North Platte School District, I fell in love with the atmosphere in the schools and was lucky enough to become a full time teacher here!
This will be my second year teaching. My first year was in Kindergarten at Cody School, then this year I was able to loop with some of my kiddos to First Grade, where I plan on staying! I love being able to watch the kids grow each and every day, and seeing all the little “lightbulb” moments that happen! I am currently living with my significant other, Brent Polenske Jr., who works at Auto One. We have two doggie children, Ranger and Mila, who have gigantic personalities!
With this being my second year as a teacher, I am learning new things each and every day right along with my kids! I can’t wait to see where teaching takes me! All of the kids who I have had, have now, and will have, have made such an impact on me and I hope to make a positive impact on them as well!
