Adams Middle School | Special Education
My name is Codi Lorensen. I am originally from Hornick, Iowa and graduated from Woodbury Central School. After high school I attended Wayne State College and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education K-12. Several years later I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on English as a Second Language from Wayne State College.
I am married and have 2 wonderful children and have lived in North Platte for 7 years.
I am currently in my second year at Adams Middle School but spent 4 years previously at Madison Middle Schools all teaching Special Education. Before that I spent to 2 years as substitute in the district. I also have experience as an English Second Language Teacher in South Sioux City Public Schools, Ne, a Technology Teacher in Tulsa Public Schools, OK and an Elementary Special Education Teacher in Stillwater Public Schools, OK.
I strive to prepare students to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom. It’s great when students become advocates for their learning and that’s are goal. I hope to be a positive influence on students and to build relationships along the way.
