Adams Middle School | Literacy
My name is Sophie Daniel and I am currently one of the 7th grade Literacy teachers at Adams Middle School. I am originally from David City, NE and moved to Nebraska City, NE when I was in 8th grade. I graduated from Lourdes Central Catholic High School and soon after started attending Wayne State College. I started out in Elementary Education but soon grew to learn that that did not quite fit my personality, so I switched to Secondary Education. I graduated from Wayne State College in December 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education.
I am engaged to Logan Morris who is also an English teacher.. We will be married in April of 2017. No kids yet! Just two cats named Larry and Ninja.
I was very fortunate to be offered a position in January 2016 in North Platte at Adams Middle School. It has been an amazing experience so far and I couldn’t have asked for a better district to start with. The staff has been very supportive and welcoming!
I believe one of the most important aspects of teaching is to build relationships and to connect with the students in every way possible. I also want to be a positive role model for them; someone they can trust and learn from every day. By building these relationships and being a positive role model, I want students to be able to recognize their full worth and potential now (instead of later) and realize that they can do anything they put their minds to.
