Adams Middle School | Math
I am Cari Brownawell. I teach seventh grade math at Adams Middle School in North Platte, NE. I graduated from Hershey High School in 1988 and from University of NE-Kearney in 1993. I am currently working toward a Master’s in Educational Administration (Elementary) from UNK. I taught several years at Madison before moving to Adams during the reconfiguration phase of our district. At the beginning of my career, I taught sixth grade and coached volleyball in Mitchell, NE. Before returning to the NP area, my family spent 8 years in Wyoming where I taught 7th grade math at Carey Junior High in Cheyenne, WY.
My husband, Michael, is also a teacher for Brady Public Schools, where he teaches all levels of secondary science. He spent several years serving as an administrator for NPPSD. We were married in 1992 while he also taught and coached at Mitchell High School. We have three daughters, Baylee (17 years), Carlee (15 years) and Michalee (12 years) who all attend Hershey Public Schools since that is where we live.
I have also spent the past 16 years officiating high school volleyball in NE and WY. It keeps me very busy during the fall months, but I love the game and it is a pleasure to work with student athletes in a different arena.
