Mrs. Roehrs iPad Academy
Mrs. Roehrs’ 3rd grade is super excited about the iPad Academy! We feel very lucky to be able to be a part of the academy. So a few things that we have been doing is just getting set up on them. Mrs. D has been amazing at coming in and assisting us as we learn to log in to the different apps and parts of our iPads. We are becoming pros and it’s only been a week and a half.
Every morning we use our iPads to find the Google Form that shows Mrs. Roehrs what we will be eating for lunch, if we are eating breakfast and if we will be going to Kids Klub. This has cut down on so much time!
We have enjoyed 2 major projects with our iPads. The first one was on an app called Chatter Pix. We were able to use this app to show Mrs. Roehrs our understanding of finding a “Just Right Book”. This is important during our small group rotations during the Read to Self rotation.
This week we were able to show our understanding of numbers using Apple Pages. We used images to represent the different parts of place value. Our final picture would then represent a number that has 6 digits!
We look forward to all of the learning that we will be able to do with the use of our iPads! We would like to thank the Tech Department (Charles, Brian, and Spencer) for all of their work in making this available to us. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the 1st iPad Academy at North Platte Public Schools! :)
