Parents, Wow the year is moving along very quickly and according to Ms. Elizabeth February 1st will mark the 100th day of school this year.  Everyone should have received their child’s second quarter grade card.  If you did not receive it, please check your child’s backpack and/or give us a call.  Our annual PTO bowling day will be Friday, February 16th and our next PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 6:00 in the Library.

We will still continue to walk outside before school if the temperature/wind chill is above 15 degrees.  Please remember that staff will not be on duty until 7:45 am.  Kdg-5th grade students arriving before that time will not be supervised and not be able to get into the building without prior arrangements.  When the temperature/wind-chill is below 15 degrees, the first door that will open will be the door by Mr. Jorgensen’s gym/east playground.  We will open that door at 7:45 a.m.  At 7:50 the door by the drive through (1st Grade) and the front door will open.

During pick-up at the end of the day, please be cautious when picking up your children and follow all pick-up procedures.  Our crossing guards are doing an excellent job and I ask that you please continue to be patient and courteous when they are working the intersections.

As always, if you have questions or concerns – Please do not hesitate to let me know about it.  You can call (308-535-7136), stop by the school or catch me outside at the end of the day, whichever is your preference.

Thanks,

John Byrn
