Grant Holscher 2010-13

 

Grant Holscher was a three time state placer for NPHS.  He was state runner up at 152# in 2011, 5th place at 160# in 2012 and 4th place at 170# in 2013.  He is currently #3 in NPHS Wrestling Career Wins(147), Pins(71) and Takedowns(292)  Grant is currently a senior history education major at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  This semester he is student teaching in Gibbon, Nebraska where he also helps out with the high school wrestling team. As a national ROTC Army scholar, he will serve as a commissioned officer in the Nebraska National Guard upon graduation.

 

Dylan Peterson 2013-16

Dylan Petersen was a NPHS wrestler from the 2012-2013 season until the 2015-2016 season. Throughout his high school career, he accumulated 153 wins and 41 losses along with 4 trips to the state tournament and 3 state medals (4th,4th,5th), he also won the district tournament 3 consecutive years. He broke the school record in pins his senior year ending with 87 career pins, he is 2nd for Career Wins(153) and 4th in Career takedowns(289). His senior year he was rewarded with the Sportsmanship Wrestler of the year Award given out by the Western Nebraska Wrestling Officials Association. Dylan was an academic All-State and ended his high school career with a 3.9 GPA, and also left as a 3 sport letterman (Football, Wrestling, and Track). Dylan is currently going to Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte to obtain his Business Administration Degree to later on take over his family business at Beveridge Inc., also here in North Platte. 

Matt Perry 1997-2001

Started wrestling at age 6

Matt wrestled in college at University of Nebraska Omaha from 2001 – 2006 where he lettered from 2003 – 2005.  In the 02-03 season Matt was the UNO Wrestler of the week for performance at the Dana Open and won the UNO’s most improved wrestler award. He is a proud member of a 2-time Division 2 National Championship team during his time at UNO.  

 

Matt currently lives in Omaha and works at Olympic Transportation as Freight Broker.  He has also volunteered to coach at various kids wrestling programs in the Omaha area.
