Registration for the 2017-2018 school year-
Registration for next year’s classes will be happening this month! Guidance counselors will be visiting with students about choosing courses for next year. We encourage students to have a conversation with parents, teachers and guidance counselors about class selections and educational planning. It is important to understand the classes being selected so please investigate with counselors, teachers and the course description book. Individual appointments are welcomed.
DUAL CREDIT PRESENTATION
WHAT: Dual Credit Presentation

WHO: Parents/guardians, students or anyone interested in learning about the Dual Credit opportunities provided at North Platte High School through Mid-Plains Community College.

Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation Scholarship forms will be available in the Guidance Office on Wednesday, February 1st. These scholarships will be due to the Guidance Office by Friday, February 24th. There are over 30 different scholarships this year, and some of them are renewable, so be sure to stop in the Guidance Office and pick them up! The completed applications need to be returned to Mrs. Schumacher in the Guidance Office before 3:30pm on Friday, February 24th to be delivered to the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation Office on time. Late scholarships will NOT be accepted and will have to be delivered to the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation Office by the student!
Attention senior parents – If you have a senior student graduating in May, and have NOT ordered a cap and gown, you need to do this as soon as possible by calling Josten’s at 855-733-0330. Josten’s will need to know your student’s name, height and weight when you call to order the cap and gown. Watch the High School Announcements for upcoming information.
Graduation practice will begin promptly at 9:00 am on Thursday, May 11th, in the Performing Arts Center. Students MUST attend practice if they wish to participate in the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 14th @ 2:00pm. A sheet of instructions and rain tickets will be sent home with the graduating senior, along with their cap and gown, which will be distributed at the end of graduation practice.
