What is your teaching
history?
I have taught at North
Platte since 2006-07.
|
|
What college degrees do
you have?
I received a Bachelor of
Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in secondary
Education from Chadron State College. I am currently enrolled
at Chadron as a graduate student studying Technology in
Education.
|
|
What times are you
typically available during the day?
Please
keep in mind that events such as absences, meetings, etc. do occur
(that's why the question says typically).
Monday - Friday: 7:30
– 8:00 am. , 3:26 - 4:00 p.m.
|
|
Why did you decide to
enter the teaching profession?
I really enjoy students
that are in high school. They are so interesting and they teach me
so much as well, also, I really love to talk!
|
|
What do you enjoy most
about teaching?
Talking with the
students. High School students have such new and fresh ideas,
and they are so kind and forgiving. I really love that about
the students.
|
|
What is your favorite
teaching moment?
My favorite teaching moment
is when the student finally gets it. At first the students
look at me with a blank expression, because I’m teaching something
they haven’t seen before. As soon as they get it, wow, you
can just see it on their faces. I really like that
look!
|
|
What is your favorite
method of teaching?
I would have to say
lecture, but I really enjoy working the problems out with the
students. They always catch me when I make mistakes, and it’s
good to see everybody makes mistakes.
