 MR. WILSON

What is your teaching history?

I taught for three years at Raymond Central Jr./Sr. High School in Raymond, NE.
I began teaching at North Platte High School in the fall of 2007.

What college degrees do you have?

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in May 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Education
I am currently enrolled at UNL as a graduate student studying Instructional Technology.

What times are you typically available during the day?
Please keep in mind that events such as absences, meetings, etc. do occur (that's why the question says typically).

7:30-7:55 & 3:30-4:00--everyday
1:49-2:36 Monday, Tuesday, & Friday
1:55-3:27 on Wednesday

What are your extracurricular responsibilities?

I currently serve as a member of the District Web page Committee.

Why did you decide to enter the teaching profession?

A combination of my interest in all topics related to business, enjoyment of working with people, and involvement in FBLA while I was a high school student all led to my decision to become a high school business teacher.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

Watching students be successful is always one thing I will value about my job. Whether they performed well on a test, won a state speech championship, or qualified for the National FBLA Conference, it is always enjoyable to watch students witness the fact that hard work does truly pay off.

What is your favorite teaching moment?

Anytime I can get my students to smile, laugh, or have a little bit of fun while they are in the classroom are good teaching moments for me.

What is your favorite method of teaching?

I have always felt that students learn best by doing. Any time that I can design a project or assignment that involves students applying their knowledge to real world situations, I feel that I am putting them in the best position to be successful later on in life.
