Molly O’Holleran graduated with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  Molly’s educational honors included a Regents’ scholarship, membership on Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa.  As a graduate from both the College of Arts and Sciences and Teachers College, she taught English for Westside Community Schools in Omaha, Nebraska; Kapaun Mount Carmel in Wichita, Kansas; and Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska.

Currently, Molly serves as an elected member of the Nebraska Association of School Boards Legislative Committee. Formerly, she served as a director on North Platte Public Schools Foundation and as the North Platte Public Schools Board President.

Molly is a patron of the arts, serving on the Creativity Unlimited Arts Council Board and the Art Study League as a docent. She believes that appreciation of arts, music, and literature can enrich our days and bring joy to moments for people of all ages.

Locally, Molly serves on the Lincoln County Medical Alliance.  As an original member of Healthy for Life, she actively encourages healthy eating and exercise.  She is the Lincoln County Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) Advocacy chairman. She is the vice president of the Nebraska Medical Association Alliance.

Investments of time have included P.E.O president of Chapter AK, as well as Nebraska chairman of International Peace Scholarship.  Other civic experience includes CCD teacher, Confirmation sponsor and mentor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Nebraska Crime commissioner, Miss Nebraska Scholarship Pageant scholarship chairman, vice president of Friends of the Library, and Willa Cather Pioneer Memorial and Educational Foundation: Nebraska State Advisory Committee. In Molly’s eyes, volunteerism is best when it serves a meaningful cause and gives value both to the volunteer and the recipient.

God and family are the guiding center of Molly’s life. The O’Hollerans have made North Platte their home since 1982.  She and her husband Timothy are blessed with five children: Colleen, Jack, Meghan, Brigid, and Danny.  All five children have attended North Platte Public Schools.
