Julie B. Nielsen,
Married to Mark Nielsen for 19 years. I have three children who all live in North Platte and attend the public schools.
Grew up in Fremont, Nebraska. Graduated from Fremont Senior High in 1978.
Attended Dana College (2 years) and the University of Nebraska Omaha (2 years). Graduated in 1982 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business. Worked as a probation officer and alcoholism counselor for several years in Papillion, NE, Kansas City, Mo, and North Platte, NE.
Returned to college and received a degree in Elementary Education from Chadron State College in 2004. Substituted in the NPPS District until January 2007.
Currently serves as the North Platte Public Schools Board of Education Vice-President.
